Queen's South Africa Medal, 4 clasps, Cape Colony, Orange Free State, South Africa 1901, South Africa 1902 (officially named, impressed in plain block capitals: 14840 Pte. R.W. PUGH. R.A.M.C.). Few minor rim nicks, otherwise Good Very Fine, and with a length of original ribbon.
Medal accompanied by biographical details, QSA Medal rolls (2), confirming medal and clasps, and WW1 Medal Index Card and medal rolls (2).
QSA Medal roll confirms Pugh saw service in South Africa with the 21st Hospital. His Medal Index card confirms that he saw service during WW1 as a Private with the R.A.M.C. (same regimental number as for Boer War service) and first saw service in France, entering that theatre of operations on 21/10/1914. Medal roll notes Pugh's "C&R" (clasps and rose) were forwarded on 22/12/1921.
